Hiii, it’s us Ms.Rai & Mandeep from VEG-HUB… Where do we start
When I (Rai) gave my 1st /ever public speech at the opening ceremony of MALAYSIA VEG FEST, I did not know what was to follow over the three days. It was always our dream to have a festival for the plant-based community & this dream came true. We are ever so grateful & thankful to each and every one who made this event a success. We had aimed for 10K total visitors, but they turned out to be much more than this. THANK YOU!!! What a victory for the entire community!
Thank you to our families, Green Rebel and Chef Idan, Yayasan Edu Assist, Nestle Dairy Free, MVS, Tzu Chi foundation, our dear vendors, team VEG-HUB, Davina Goh, Afit family and all those who believed & supported this dream ever since we started planning it in July. Tan Sri Dr. Palan, thank you for gracing us with your presence. We are glad to have had you join us. Ms. Sanjna Suri, thank you for taking the time to share your journey too. Ms. Sangeeta Krishnasamy, words cannot thank you enough for giving your time to be with us throughout the weekend, supporting & visiting every booth & your potato curry demo was da bomb!! We are truly inspired by you & glad we crossed paths. Davina Goh, omg, what would I do without you?? Your vibe and your energy lit up the event & we are more than grateful to learn so much from you since the time we met. Thank you for always going the extra mile for us & guiding us.
To all the KOLs who came, shared their inspiring stories/ did demos, I am glad the event got all of you together to inspire more people as we walk together towards the same cause. Thank you all the speakers and moderators for the amazing talks and demos. Thank you, Chef Dave, Chef Yin, Diyana, Akmal, Kana G, Hilmi, Good life with Gan, Jovian, Yasmin, Aqil, Aina & Faisal, Drona, Dr. Kish & the MVS team, thank you for backing us from the beginning & guiding us as always.. Thank you to all the artists who kept our audience entertained.
We had 42 merchant booths and we are humbled beyond words that most vendors were sold out, they replenished & sold out again
and that we had to ‘end’ the bazaar by 8.30pm on Sunday
We saw a stream of visitors from all walks of life: some curious about the plant-based lifestyle, who learnt a lot from our friendly vendors who shared so much information with them & our fellow vegetarian/vegans who came to their kind of bazaar finally!! The vibe and energy was all ablaze throughout the weekend and we are truly blessed for this..
Last but not the least, our partners & team VEG-HUB for believing in Mandeep’s & my dream & hustling thru these months to pull it together. Thank you to our awesome volunteers who made the operations smoother, we appreciate your time & effort.
